Welcome to the jungle
We got fun ‘n’ games
We got everything you want
Honey we know the names
We are the people that can find
Whatever you may need
If you got the money honey
We got your disease

Rain stopped or so we thought.  Bates, Debbie and myself headed west on the road along the coast.  We were met by Richard ex-computer high tech engineer who has lived on the Island for ~10 years.  We were given directions to his house and he met up with us.  No parrots and no monkeys to be found so we decided to trek into the jungle with Richard as our guide.  This Richard unlike the Richard Alpert from the Others had grey hair and is probably in his late 50s.  Machete equipped he lead us into the jungle chopping down walking sticks as we wandered deeper into the muddy humid landscape.  Only about 20 minutes into it we were met with a massive rainstorm.  Camera in my Exofficio shorts stayed remarkably dry.  The decision was made to head back after standing in the rain shower for about 15 minutes.  On the way back through a clear cut to the east of Richard’s house (which caused a massive landslide in Novemeber damaging his house) we happened upon a large group of white faced monkeys in the distance.  Monkeys check.  Smoke monster haven’t seen it yet.
