Bates arrived while we were drinking beer after our dinner at 1985.  Erdinger wheat beer at an open outdoor bar/pub next to Sevilla Suites.  We got adventurous and hailed a cab $1 dollar a person $4 bucks total any where in Panama City.  Destination Radisson Decapolis.  The scene was modern Sushi Bar/Martini Bar.  Blaring trance/techno music.  6 guys to every girl.  All the women in stilettos.  Let the drinking begin.  Caiparinas, Lemon Drop, Hpnotiq Martini, Margarita, and me with my

1984 (Van Halen Album) + 1 = 1985

1985 conviently located across the street from Sevilla Suites.  It’s two restaurants in one.  Rincon Suiza is the Swiss restaurant and 1985 is the French restaurant.  BTW if you need a cab back to Sevilla Suites in Panama City tell the cab driver take you Rincon Suiza if he doesn’t know where Sevilla Suites is located.  Jason, Debbie and myself decided against wine and went for drinks to enjoy in the tropics.  Margaritas, Pisco Sours, and Caiparinas $5 dollars a piece.  The food was delicious and we were extremely hungry.   Parmesan Salad, Hearts of Palm Salad, Prosciutto and Melon, Carpaccio, Medallions of Pork, Shrimp in Cognac Cream Sauce, Homemade Panamanian Coffee Ice Cream.  Le Pigeon it isn’t but for hungry travellers 1985 was great.  NY Times Frommers Review

This is my Panama 2009 vacation with friends.  The title of the blog is taken from the song Panama off the 1984 Van-Halen album.
